Remembering Olio and Aceto

Remembering Olio and Aceto

Two of my favorite places to eat at in Chapel Hill/Carrboro began as food trucks. Napoli, which has its brick and mortar shop on East Main Street in Carrboro (one of its truck is used as the kitchen for the restaurant and a functioning food truck.). The other was the place featured in this post.

Olio and Aceto’s food was consistently fresh, flavorful and very tasty. Their food was often a nice variation and original take on American comfort food.

The link above is an archive of restaurant menus. I thought taking a look at Olio and Aceto’s would be fun. How about matching unlabeled photos with the menu?

Olio and Aceto closed a few months before the pandemic. They were associated with the owners of the excellent olive oil shop, Blue Sky. The two places were located near one another on Elliott Road.
