On my fifth visit to The Station, I finally got the menu item I first wanted to try nearly a year ago — their short rib sandwich. Maybe having to wait and having to try every other sandwich was preemptive penance, I discovered how excellent all the others were. Anyway this is a very, very good sandwich, tender, moist, and, like all the others, a mouthful. The cottage fries are better than good.

I wanted to get out and about to enjoy the lovely early fall morning weather and had no real plans for lunch. Tesoro, which is so quickly becoming a personal favorite, was not my first choice. Besides I didn’t want to be tempted by their amazing Smashburger too quickly after my first two weeks earlier. Fortunately they a second sandwich option, the beautifully golden pork cutlet with greens on house focaccia pictured above. First class sammie. Unfortunately it was a weekend special!!!

The beverage is a San Pelligrino Blood Orange Sparkling soda.
