Fine Dining: Culinary odyssey, exploring restaurants in the Greater Triangle

Culinary Odyssey: Exploring Favorite restaurants in Raleigh and the Greater Triangle

The following is a photographic collection of my food choices at restaurants I’ve visited and enjoyed dining at since my retirement in 2015. I’ve been to quite a few of them more than once. The diversity of the cuisines we can choose from has exploded during the years since I and my fellow dining traveler, Scott Hamilton, started our food adventures. and the number of spots to choose from is staggering.

An overwhelming number of the restaurants listed in this blog are locally owned and operated, and a surprising number have been in operation for years.

The culinary legacies of adventurous southern chefs like Bill Neal and Bill Smith at Crook’s Corner in a Chapel Hill; Ben and Karen Barker at the legendary Magnolia Grill and the expansive restaurant creating magic of Giorgios Bakatsias have made dining in the Triangle, North Carolina and beyond exciting, gratifying and very pleasurable. Bon Appetit.
