My mother graduated from high school

as is clearly noted on the photo, on June 6th, 1945 almost four years to the day after D-Day. Two generations of Jenkinses and Whichard would graduate from the same school before it was torn down in 1972.

By the mid 1950’s the school’s name had changed from Greenville Technical High to C. M. Eppes.
