A personal history with Images and documents

Fleming Street School was my elementary school from grades 1st through 4th. I have very strong recollections and memories about Fleming Street. I recall a summer camp where we could play games or do exercises like jumping rope, or do pull-ups on bars. But the event that resonated most was a May Day festival with a Maypole dance and selection of queen and king. It was like a fairy tale. One last thing — a lady living directly across from the school had a store where she sold us Lance crackers, candy, cookies, bottled sodas [we were a Pepsi town mostly] and pickles from a huge glass jar.
