Boulted Bread’s artisanal loaves on display

Boulted Bread is an award winning bakery whose breads and pastries have a national reputation. The bakery moved from its original spot on South Street to a new location on DuPont Street. The best way to describe the artistry of their baking is with pictures.

At Guglhuf this a cinnamon bun, at La Croissanterie and Boulted Bread a morning bun. They are all perfect with your morning coffee or a cappuccino.

Boulted’s loaf cakes are always a good choice like this lemon poppyseed.

The Triangle has a rich and distinctive number of quality bakeries, Patisseries and donut shops. Finding where these places are located is often like going on treasure hunt— they are often located in the alleyways and corners of nondescript strip malls.

The list below are links for a number of these bakeries in the Greater Triangle. It should be noted that several grocers and markets have excellent in-house bakeries most notably Weaver Street, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Wegmans and Publix.
